Know Your Fabric
Lawn is the heart of the Resham Silk collection — a lightweight, fine plain-weave cotton fabric prized for its soft, almost silky feel against the skin, especially through Pakistan's warmer months.
Fabrics We Use
- Embroidered Lawn — Our shirt fronts, used across most stitched and unstitched sets, feature hand- or machine-embroidered necklines, dupattas, and daman (hemline) patches.
- Printed Cambric — Used for our trousers and everyday pieces; slightly heavier than lawn with excellent colour retention.
- Chiffon & Net Dupattas — Featured in select Odhni Collection pieces for a lighter, more festive drape.
Care Instructions
Washing
Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water. Wash embroidered and printed pieces separately for the first few washes.
Drying
Dry in shade rather than direct sunlight to protect print and embroidery colour from fading.
Ironing
Iron on a medium setting, turning embroidered pieces inside-out to protect thread work.
Storage
Store folded rather than hung on embroidered necklines to avoid stretching delicate thread work over time.
